What type of device is used inside CSafe’s Active Temperature Controlled Containers (ATCC) for real time tracking?
The RKN and RAP ATCC use Sendum’s PT300D real time tracking device.
Why did CSafe choose the Sendum PT300D?
CSafe completed extensive testing of a variety of hardware providers. The Sendum PT300D provided the best signal strength, accuracy and global coverage when integrated within the CSafe ATCC.
What type of real-time information is available?
The Sendum PT300D provides real-time GPS location, cargo temperature, ambient temperature, shock events, ambient humidity, ambient pressure and door open/close events.
What types of alerts can be set?
Alerts can be set for all of the conditional data for each shipment: ambient temperature, ambient humidity, cargo temperature, tilt, shock, door opening/closing events and GPS location.
The user has the ability to set-up notifications, warnings and critical alerts.
How are the alerts delivered?
The alerts can be delivered in the Visibility Platform, via email and the user can opt-in to receive text messaging.
How does the Sendum device transmit the data?
It uses mobile-based towers to capture the data.
What mobile network does the Sendum PT300D use?
Sendum’s PT300D is currently using the 3G mobile network with 2G fallback capabilities which provides availability internationally.
Where will power be sourced for the Sendum PT300D device?
The Sendum PT300D will be powered directly from the ATCC internal batteries, eliminating the need to constantly remove and recharge the tracking device.
How long does the battery last?
The battery power is supplied directly from the ATCC internal batteries. The battery capacity on the RKN is 130 hours and the RAP is 120 hours, the extremely low power drain from the Sendum device will not affect this overall performance.
Are we limited to the Sendum device?
The PT300D is currently what is integrated and approved by the FAA within our active temperature-controlled container fleet, but the Visibility Platform is device agnostic. For any parcel, cell & gene or passive solutions – alternative telemetry devices may be used.
Who is CSafe's software provider and why?
The software provider for CSafe’s Shipment Visibility Platform is Cloudleaf. Cloudleaf’s IoT solution is highly customisable, cloud-based, hardware agnostic, advanced in specialised actionable visibility within supply chains and offers a modern user interface (UI). Their team has an extensive technology roadmap to grow with our offering, Silicon Valley technical expertise and vast experience using advanced analytics to drive reporting and system efficiency.
What type of browser is supported?
The Visibility Platform is optimised for Chrome, Firefox and Safari. It does not fully support Internet Explorer or Edge at this time.
Will I be able to integrate shipment tracking data directly into our established platform?
Yes, standard REST API documentation will be neatly packaged to push shipment tracking data to any existing IoT platform. Users will still need to use the Visibility Platform to set up the lease and the shipment parameters.
Who will receive access to the Shipment Visibility platform?
CSafe’s contractual customer (the Lessee) will be given direct access to the Visibility Platform. The Lessee can assign additional users in the Visibility Platform and grant access to an approved viewer (shipper).
What does the Lessee user need to register for the Shipment Visibility platform?
The Lessee will need a Master Lease Agreement (MLA) with CSafe that includes tracking services terms or an addendum for tracking services to accompany an existing MLA.
How can I get signed up for the Shipment Visibility platform?
As the Lessee, please work with your sales representative or reach out to customersupport@csafeglobal.com to get access.
If I am not the Lessee, can I still see my shipment in real-time?
Yes, if your leasing partner approves the access. When the leasing partner sets up the shipment within the Visibility Platform, they can list external parties that may view alerts or see real-time shipment tracking for that specific lease.
What does the Lessee need from the Approved Viewer to set up their account?
The Lessee will need the user’s name and email address.
How is the shipment report data provided?
The shipment data can be downloaded from the shipment details page as a PDF. In the download, the user will receive a shipment summary report and individual container detail reports.
How are you managing data security/data privacy?
Data ownership belongs to CSafe and the contracted leasing party. The Lessee can approve additional “viewers” to receive alerts or track the shipment in real-time, for that specific lease.
What airline approvals are completed for the container and device?
CSafe is working closely with our airline partners to gain approvals for the integration of the Sendum PT300D device into our CSafe RKN/RAP ATCC. The process is ongoing and a list of the airline approvals can be shared upon request.
Will this be available for CSafe's full portfolio?
Yes. We expect the entire air cargo fleet to be retrofitted with the Sendum PT300D in 2021. Our Cell & Gene and VIP Parcel portfolio will offer this capability later in 2021.
