CSafe Global, a leading provider of active and passive temperature-controlled solutions for pharmaceutical products, is pleased to announce that United Cargo, one of the industry’s leading air cargo brands, has approved the recently launched CSafe RAP for in-flight use on its fleet.

The CSafe RAP is the latest innovation in a full line of temperature control solutions, offering unmatched operational capabilities with the industry’s largest RAP payload capacity to ensure successful large-volume shipments of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals across the globe.

United Cargo today announced it will enhance its TempControl service and expand the options it offers shippers of pharmaceuticals and other life science products by approving the new CSafe RAP active container.

The CSafe RAP utilizes innovative heating and compressor-driven cooling technologies, along with advanced ThermoCor VIP insulation, to maintain constant payload temperatures even at extreme ambient temperatures spanning from -30°C to +54°C – the broadest operating range in the industry. Its large payload compartment of 6.68m3 easily accommodates up to four standard U.S. pallets or five standard Euro pallets. With an extended battery run time of over 120 hours, the CSafe RAP ensures temperature integrity and product viability through to destination even on extended journeys.

“The CSafe RKN container has been a key component of our TempControl service since 2010,” said Jan Krems, President of United Cargo. “The demand for pharmaceuticals and other health care products grows every year, and customers and patients worldwide are seeking expanded capacity across our TempControl network. With the new CSafe RAP, we can meet this need using the innovative CSafe technology that is proven by years of impeccable performance and trusted by our customers.”

CSafe is very excited to add United Cargo to the ever-expanding list of airlines that have approved our new CSafe RAP temperature-controlled container,” stated Jeff Pepperworth, CEO of CSafe Global.  “The combination of United Cargo’s expansive TempControl network and the superior performance of the CSafe RAP container offers life-science companies a powerful and reliable solution to move temperature-sensitive healthcare products to patients across the globe.”

Many of the same leasing options currently available for the CSafe RKN are available for the new CSafe RAP container. Customers may lease the CSafe RAP container directly from CSafe Global or through United Cargo.
